Feather Love

Tweet! Tweet!  I think it's officially bird week here on Marginamia. What can I say?  I love them!  I also have some very exciting news today, which I'll share with you after all the beautiful birdies!

The top bird print is by Christine Lindstrom of the shop Mai Autumn, and the second two are by Amber Alexander.  I'd love to get a couple of her feather prints (from original water color paintings) to put with Nona's growing feather collection. Ahh, feathers crafted from watercolors?  A match made in heaven, I think!

And how about the shop name, Mai Autumn-- fantastic name, right?  Here are some more of her lovely prints:

All of her bird prints are 15% off right now, too!

I also adore the bird paintings by Italian artist, Irene, of the shop Dimdi. There is nothing in this shop that I don't love, actually! Squirrels, bunnies, horses, they're all there, and they're all original watercolors. She'll also do customs of any animal.

Finally, I'm totally in love with the sweet birds at Matou En Pelouche

Wouldn't you love to have those little darlings chirping away on your window sill? The last one so reminds me of my favorite, teeny tiny bird in Hawaii, the Hawaiian honeycreeper.

My love of birds is much too vast to attempt to cram it all into one post. I could show a million more lovely creations inspired by birds from toys to prints to accessories and wearables, which is why I will.  on Friday.  Monday I did an interview with birdhouse artists, Jennifer Wong and Daniel Goers, and today? Today I have some very exciting news, which I'm just so happy to share!

I wrote a guest post for none other than the fabulous and inspirational Nameberry, the very place where my love of names grew into a legitimate hobby!  So head on over to my post there to get today's bird-inspired musings and name list.  I'd love to hear your thoughts there, as well.

If you are a berry making your way to my blog for the first time, welcome! I'm so honored to have you, and I hope you'll stay a while and enjoy yourself!

I'll see you all back here on Friday with more winged art and even more names inspired by our lovely, feathered friends!
